Principal's Message

Tierra BonitaStudents and Parents:

 

Welcome to the 2026-2027 school year!

 

This year promises to be filled with exciting discoveries, lasting friendships, new experiences, and above all, learning.  This school year, we will be focusing on enhancing our sense of school connectedness through schoolwide opportunities and initiatives, such as Inclusive Practices and Positive Behavior Interventions and Support (PBIS).  As part of these initiatives and to ensure a positive and safe school climate, it is important that students, parents, and staff are aligned in our understanding of school expectations. 

 

Whether you are new to our school or continuing, this handbook has been prepared to give you a 30,000-foot overview of our school operations and build partnership through clarifying school expectations.  Please take the time to review its contents and then save it for handy reference later.

 

At the beginning of the year and intermittently throughout the year, I will visit each classroom to review all school expectations.  Additionally, classroom teachers and support staff will lead specific discussions and presentations to clarify expectations in various settings across campus.

 

As the principal of Tierra Bonita, my wish is that you feel a sense of belonging and joy as a valued member of the Tierra Bonita community.   While deepening our learning and expanding our horizons each day, your student may encounter challenges and opportunities that you will encounter throughout the year.  We, the staff of Tierra Bonita, are here to support you during these years of growth and discovery!
